Achillea millefolium Pink Beauty also known as yarrow is another beautiful Achillea that produces a profusion of bright pink flowers. Happiest in full sun to ensure that they flower to the maximum they are also great in the middle of the border. Achilleas are excellent for attracting beneficial insects to your garden including bees, butterflies and hover-flies.
Cut them back after their first flowering to encourage a second flush in summer/ early autumn. In warmer climates such as where we are ours still flower into early winter. In colder climates they may become deciduous to return again in spring. One of our most popular plants due to the fact that once they are established, they are drought tolerant. Flowers are excellent for cutting and a must for the cutting patch.
Clumps can be revived by lifting, splitting and replanting in the spring.
