Also known a dwarf Betony, Stachys officinalis nana makes a perfect edging choice for ground cover for the garden. This is a dense perennial with masses of beautiful spikes of cerise pink tiny tubular flowers from early to mid-summer that sit atop dark green foliage. May self-sow, but easily removed if you don't want additional garden volunteers.  Plants are also easily split to give your more plants of this great little groundcover.

Loved by bees and other pollinators too

Happy in full sun or partial shade in a well-drained position but can tolerate heavy clay as well.
