Watsonia borbonica | White
Very old fashioned and not often seen these days!
Watsonia are so reminiscent of Grandmas Garden, lovely healthy strappy leaves and glorious pure white blooms with 6 petals about 5cm across, not too unlike gladiolus, on tall spikes up to about 1.4 metres tall. the corms naturalize over time and form large clumps, which are easily divided for giving away.
This lovely fresh white looks gorgeous when cut in a vase too.
Blooms in late spring to early summer.
Foliage dies back in late summer, cut back then to encourage new growth for spring.
Hardy perennial.
