Iris sibirica | Hubbard's Purple

Siberian iris are perfect choice for adding a touch of elegance to the garden border.  Hubbard is particularly striking and we use it in our jewel garden with its rich velvety purple shades.

Their slender sword-like leaves are accompanied by beautiful fleur-de-lis like flowers. Easy to grow these plants if given enough space will clump out. A perfect choice for filling your garden beds with an elegant touch of colour. Summer flowering, these plants add a touch of glamour to the garden.

Iris sibirica also makes an excellent cut flower. To achieve the best results, plant Iris sibirica in a moist soil, or next to water such as at the edge of a pond, in a full sun or a dappled shade position.  Happy in clay soils but add some gravel to assist with drainage. Cut back after flowering to tidy up.

Plants die back in autumn and this is when you can split your clumps when the plants are dormant.
