Veronica longifolia "Alba" forms a bushy, upright clump of bright green leaves that grows to around 40cm in width with strong erect stems that reach approximately  90cm in height.  Tall, slender pure white flowers are crowded with small tubular blossoms that taper into curvy green tips. Made up of many densely arranged, small florets, the flowers open progressively from the base upwards to form a long-lasting flower spike.
Veronica longifolia is hardy to cold but will also take the heat and drought of summer. 

Veronica longifolia prefers a full sun position or will tolerate a partially shaded position and appreciates a moist well-drained soil. Flowering takes place from midsummer and can last for several months depending upon your climate. These attractive plants make a strong vertical statement and are an excellent contrast to more traditional flowers shapes when positioned at the front of the border.

Adored by bees, butterflies and flower arrangers, they look particularly attractive when planted in eye-catching drifts.
