Zephyranthes verecunda | Dwarf Rain Lily

Zephyranthes verecunda | Dwarf Rain Lily

Also known as the Dwarf Rain Lily, is a gorgeous little deciduous perennial bulb with white flowers that bloom in spring, summer and Autumn. The leaves are 15–23 cm long and 5–7 mm wide, and the flowering stems are 8– 10 cm tall. The flowers are star-shaped and point straight up.
Zephyranthes verecunda is native to Mexico. It prefers moist, well-drained soil and full sun, but can also grow in part shade. In areas with extreme heat, it can benefit from protection from the afternoon sun.
Zephyranthes verecunda can be grown in a pot or greenhouse bed using fertile, well-drained compost. For outdoor landscape planting, choose a location with well-drained soil and lots of sunlight. When planting in a container, start with well-drained potting mix in a container that's large enough for the plant. Water thoroughly to soak the soil and settle it around the bulbs. So gorgeous, and a little bit different!
