This charming Japanese anemone is a lovely addition to the garden if you have some space that you want to fill.   For me, this is a true sign that autumn has arrived and they make a lovely sight in the late summer/autumn garden with their stems of single pale pink flowers that stand proud above the foliage and waver in the breeze which is where they get their name windflower from. 

Anemones provide weeks of colour when other plants are past their best.  Anemones do have a habit of colonising so please be aware of this.  They are happy in full sun or part shade but do like some moisture but require good drainage.  They require minimal maintenance once established making for an easy care. A covering of mulch will help provide their preferred growing conditions.  Can be cut back after flowering if you want to tidy them up a bit. An excellent cut flower.
