A beautiful old fashioned pure white, double violet. Sweetly scented and an absolute garden treasure! 

Originally from Italy in the 16th century, when it's original name was Comte de Brazzi, they were grown for the cut flower markets in France.

They are also edible and are great for crystalizing! They look so lovely on homemade cakes.

They grow to 15cm tall and 40cm wide, do well in full or part shade and prefer a moist but not wet soil. In cooler areas they will do well in full sun but need protection from the winter cold. They bloom in early spring. Add good compost each year to keep them happy.
