Heavenly scented Chocolate cosmos is absolutely gorgeous and is a must-have at the front of your perennial border, where you can brush past it or bend down and sniff its rich chocolatey scent. It will grow into a substantial clump over time. Tall dark stems are topped with deep burgundy-chocolate flowers which smell just like rich dark chocolate from mid-summer through to autumn. Beautiful in a vase on their own, or with other summer flowers. It grows best in full sun in soil that doesn't dry out too much in summer (compost helps). Winter dormant but is frost tender so the crown needs some winter protection - a perfect container specimen too as long as it's watered regularly. Grows to 60 tall and 60cm wide.
