Hosta Francee
Hosta "Francee" is regarded as one of the best white margined Hostas. Francee is a fantastic perennial that forms a dense arching mound of heart-shaped broad dark green leaves with a narrow white margin. Pale lavender flowers appear in late summer that rise above the leaves to about 70cm in height.
Francee bulks up fairly quickly so is an excellent addition to the garden as well as being an excellent choice for a container. Francee is happy in part shade to full shade and looks stunning underplanting shrubs or equally as effective as a groundcover.
Enjoys a moist but well-drained situation and mulching will help. Watch for slug and snails which can damage the foliage. After flowering cut back flower stems to the ground which will encourage the growth of the plant
