Their slender sword like leaves are accompanied by beautiful fleur-de-lis like flowers. Easy to grow these plants if given enough space will clump out. Summer flowering, they also make an excellent cut flower. To achieve the best results, plant Iris sibirica in a moist soil, or next to water such as at the edge of a pond, in a full sun or a dappled shade position. Happy in clay soils but add some gravel to assist with drainage. Cut back after flowering to tidy up. Grows 80 cm tall and 40 cm wide
Plants die back in autumn, and this is when you can split your clumps when the plants are dormant.
