An old variety of shasta daisy with large single flowers that have finely cut rayed petals.  This classic British variety is a 'must have' for your borders and makes an excellent cut flower. Narrow dark green foliage covers the erect stems of this clump-forming perennial.  Deadheading will encourage additional flowering. Similar to our Leucanthemum Shapcott ruffles but the flowers are smaller.

Full sun and a moist but well drained position is needed to get the best from 'Phyllis Smith', we mulch ours to keep moisture in the soil particularly during the hotter summer months.  Happy in full sun or partial shade.  Easily split in Spring to provide you with more plants or share with friends.  Dividing this plant every few years will maintain vigour
