Lysimachia atropurpurea | Beaujolais
Wonderful claret red almost black coloured flower spikes that stand proud of the foliage make this a standout plant for your garden. attractive silver-grey foliage offsets the stunning flowers which last up to 10 days in a vase.
Happy in either full sun or partial shade in moist but well-drained soil. Plants seen to self sow so I am always happy to find small seedlings popping up which I then relocate.
We have not had experience with this plant in colder climates, but I have read that it can be described as deciduous so if you are further south then you may see it disappear over winter. They have been described as hardy but I would protect if you get extremely cold
If you intend to collect the seeds, be careful as the flower spikes are very sharp!
Height 60cm x 25cm Wide
Short-lived perennial | Hardy
Pot Size: 1 Litre
