Thryptomene saxicola | Rosea
A native of Australia, this very pretty shrub has displays of tiny pale pink flowers over a very log flowering period from mid-winter into spring and the flowers literally clothe the whole shrub. A perfect shrub for floral work as the arching branches of flowers add a touch of elegance to bouquets and a simple vase of flowers. This shrub has a graceful weeping habit.
Often used as a background shrub or can even be used as a low growing hedge this plant is super tough and is very drought tolerant once established. Not much pruning is at all required but any stray branches can be put to good use in the vase. Any formative pruning is best done after flowering. A small amount of general-purpose fertiliser in spring will encourage new growth. The foliage has a spicy scent to it.
Grow in well-drained soil in a sunny position. Prefers a slightly more neutral to acidic soil for best results.
Shrub | Hardy to mild frost - protection required until established
Height : 1m x 1m Wide
Plant size : 2.5 litres
