Geranium sanguineum | Album | White

Commonly known as bloody cranesbill (referring to the leaves of this plant that can turn a deep red colour, the 'cranesbill' part of the name comes from the shape of the seed pods, which resemble the bill of a crane), this white flowering Geranium is a lovely and delicate looking spreading herbaceous perennial, open in habit, with small, dark green leaves that are deeply divided.

They bear pure white flowers in summer, which are about 4cm in width. The leaves take on autumn hues as temperatures cool.

They grow to about 50cm tall and spread up to 1 metre.

They are a lovely show and perfect in cottage gardens in a sunny spot or part shade.

Cut back after the first flush for a second show of blooms. Add compost whenever you cut back to keep it happy.

Pot size: 1 litre.
