The seed pods are excellent for drying and look wonderful in a dried floral arrangement. Happiest in a drier shaded area but will cope with some morning sun, not the hot afternoon sun. Not fussy about soil and plants are drought tolerant once established. This lovely plant will self-sow and will come true from the seed so you will always have it. Being a biennial, these plants will put on leave growth in their first year, flower in their second year and then set seed to produce future plants.
