It is part of the Rosaceae family and originated in China. The rose was named after the wife of the famous botanist Sir Joseph Banks. This thornless climbing rose flowers in spring with miniature double white flowers appearing in clusters. The foliage is small and fern like. She tolerates a wide range of soil types but prefers well-drained moist soil which has been enriched with lots of compost. Plant into a sunny position for the best and most blooms. Prune immediately after flowering has finished at the end of spring or early summer.
Banksia roses are excellent for covering a fence or bare wall and will quickly cover the area.
