Westringia brevifolia | Lilac and Lace
This is a lovely, variegated version of Westringia, also known as coastal rosemary, with grey green leaves highlighted by a cream edging. The flowers are a pretty mauve shade and are produced for many months from late winter to late summer. It grows to around a metre and a half high and wide and can be used for low hedging and topiary work. A great easy-care plant for low maintenance gardens, which responds well to pruning to keep it smaller and more dense. Great for most soil types, from dry to moist. Likes a full sun to lightly shaded spot. A great plant for coastal gardens and can take wind and light frosts. A lovely all-rounder with great extra interest in the slower times of the year!
